Your phone is the backup

Most inspection apps are thin wrappers around a cloud database. The moment you lose signal, they stall or lose data. ConditionIt is built differently. Everything you record, narrate, or tap is written directly to your device's local storage first. The cloud is secondary. Your phone is always the source of truth.

Video chunks, voice notes, timestamps, issue tags — all of it is stored locally in encrypted form as you work. You can walk through an entire property on zero bars and the experience is exactly the same as if you had full 5G. Nothing waits on a network request.

Automatic sync when you're back online

You don't have to do anything to upload your work. As soon as your device finds a stable connection — the site office Wi-Fi, the car park on the way out, or just better reception on the drive home — ConditionIt starts syncing in the background. You don't need to keep the app open or tap a button.

Files are transferred in encrypted chunks so a dropped connection mid-upload doesn't corrupt anything. The sync picks up where it left off, and every file is verified against a hash recorded at capture time to confirm nothing was altered in transit. Install it on your phone like a native app

ConditionIt is a Progressive Web App, which means you can add it to your phone's home screen directly from your browser. No App Store, no download, no waiting for approval updates. It opens in its own full-screen window, just like any app you'd install normally.

On Android, Chrome will prompt you to install automatically after you sign in. On iPhone, open ConditionIt in Safari, tap the Share button, and select "Add to Home Screen." On desktop, look for the install icon in the address bar in Chrome or Edge. Once installed, offline capture still works exactly the same way.
