Can I install ConditionIt as an app on my phone or desktop?
Yes — ConditionIt is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can add it directly to your home screen or taskbar in seconds, no App Store required. It opens in its own window, works offline, and feels exactly like a native app.
Installing on Desktop (Chrome or Edge)
Open app.conditionit.com in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and sign in to your dashboard. Look for the install icon in the address bar — it looks like a monitor with a download arrow. Click it, then click 'Install' in the prompt that appears. ConditionIt will open in its own window, separate from your browser tabs, and a shortcut will be added to your taskbar and Start Menu (Windows) or Dock (Mac).
Installing on Android
Open app.conditionit.com in Chrome on your Android device. After a few seconds on the dashboard, Chrome will show a banner at the bottom of your screen saying 'Add ConditionIt to Home screen'. Tap it, then tap 'Add'. The app icon will appear on your home screen just like any other app. If the banner doesn't appear automatically, tap the three-dot menu in Chrome and select 'Add to Home Screen' manually.
Installing on iPhone or iPad (iOS Safari)
Open app.conditionit.com in Safari — it must be Safari, not Chrome, for this to work on iOS. Tap the Share button at the bottom of your screen (the box with an arrow pointing up), then scroll down and tap 'Add to Home Screen'. Give it a name and tap 'Add'. The ConditionIt icon will appear on your home screen. Note: iOS does not show an install prompt automatically, so you'll always use the Share menu.
What Does the Installed App Experience Look Like?
Once installed, ConditionIt opens directly to your dashboard in a full-screen window with no browser address bar, tabs, or toolbars in the way. It behaves exactly like a native app downloaded from an app store. Your session stays active between opens, offline captures still work, and any updates you see on the web version are automatically reflected in the installed version — there's nothing to update manually.
